| Description: | To provide direct, objective-based training placement and follow-up for program participants |
| Duties: | -Provides direct, objective-based assessment and superivsion to customers following individual program plan
-Provides on-going support to customers on assigned caseload following the requirements established by the customer's Individual Program Plan (IPP) team
-Provides training to participants with barriers to employment and/or supervisors in issues relating to vocational success
-Conducts career exploration activities as needed
-Actively participate in all activities concerning the establishment and monitoring of the Individual Program Plan (IPP) under the guidance of the Coordinator/Case Manager
-Provide individual job development, placement and follow-up services in accordance with the organization's policies following required time lines.
-Performs on-site job analysis, work measurement and accommodation strategies as customer need requires.
-Ensure counts and customer payroll to assigned caseload.
-Communicates areas of customer's progress or concerns to responsible case management staff and Vice President, Workforce Development Services.
-Provides support for on-site job supervisor (either facility or community-based) and acatively seek to develop natural supports within work environment.
-Maintains customer records and documents in accordance with agency policy and in a confidential manner
-May be required to transport customers in personal vehicle, as needed
-Provides assessment services as needed
-Other duties as assigned by Coordinator and/or Vice President, Workforce Development. |
| Qualifications: | -Possess a high school diploman or GED equivalency (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
(Experience working with disabled adults may be substituted for college-level training.)
-One year experience working with adults with disabilities.
-Ability to express self orally and in writing using proper grammar, punctuation and diction
-Demonstrated ability to provide independent training and support
-Ability to pass the DRS background check and drug screen
-Possess a valid Driver's License, reliable independent transportation and own insurance
-Ability to work a flexible schedule in terms of hours and assigned days (evenings and weekends required)
-Ability to work effectively with people in a facilitating manner with an open mind and ability to act as such in situations and interactions with customers and other stakeholders.
-Ability to work as part of a team and relate effectively with other Goodwill staff, community, employers, persons served and their families, and representatives of other community service providers.
-Discretion, patience, tact, and courtesy in working with others.
-Flexibility, and the willingness to learn new procedures and policies in order to meet the changing needs and goals of the department, organization and, most importantly, the individuals served.
-Understanding and dedication to the mission of the organization and ability to assist Workforce Development Services in fulfilling this mission.
Physical Requirements: Medium physical demand
-Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, grasp, push, pull, sit, hear, see, and speak clearly
-Ability to lift 40 pounds on a routine basis
-Ability to withstand minor air contaminants (dust, pollen, grass)
-Ability to withstand exposure to hot, cold, and wet environments |
